If you would like to support CBT groups and KCBTA in achieving their goals, such as participation of local residents in decision-making processes, contribution to the country's economic development, promotion and use of a model of socially and environmentally responsible tourism, why not become our volunteer?
CBT groups in Kyrgyzstan will appreciate your contribution - for example, your knowledge of languages; Evaluation of the activities of the TOC organization “from the outside” and, possibly, making its own contribution or thus developing new ideas for improving work; work experience in areas related to the activities of CBT groups; technical skills; another. In exchange, you will have the chance to have the opportunity to more in-depth study of the everyday work of CBT groups by actively participating in the community. In addition, there will be enough time to study the local culture, national traditions, a new language and history of the country.
If you do not have the opportunity to come to Kyrgyzstan, then you can still be our volunteer. All you need is a computer, access to the Web, and you are ready for Internet volunteering. CBT groups and KCBTA will be happy to receive your support in the translation and editing of documents, or in receiving feedback on the activities of CBT.
CBT groups and / or KCBTA will help you get a visa, get to your destination on arrival in Bishkek and provide you with other necessary information. During your stay in Kyrgyzstan, the head office will be for you an additional supervisor - in addition to your main leader in the CBT group. We cannot provide compensation or social insurance for the services of a volunteer, but each CBT group will do everything possible to provide some compensation for your work - for example, find housing (a private house, living with a local family, only in CBT workplaces)
The Internet, cyber or virtual volunteering refers to volunteer work carried out exclusively through the Internet. The advantage of this activity is that you do not need to leave your country or home, but you can still support the organization. You just need a computer and an access line. In the case of KCBTA and CBT, Internet volunteering can include the following typical tasks: translating texts from Kyrgyz, Russian and English into various languages, correcting texts in English or another language by native speakers. Additionally, KCBTA and CBT will be able to get useful information from the feedback forum (it will be launched soon at www.cbtkyrgyzstan.kg ), where you can leave your suggestions, new ideas for CBT, suggestions for improvement for the future, etc.
If you are interested in translating or adjusting texts, send a message to cbtnetworks@gmail.com to request a list of documents currently available. Usually the name of the file, the language in which it is written, a brief description of the text, as well as the date by which it is necessary to obtain the final version, is reported. Select the document that you would like to translate or correct, write a letter to cbtnetworks@gmail.com , indicating the name and content of the document. After that, KCBTA will send you the requested document. After completing the translation or editing, please send the document back to the same address. KCBTA will confirm receipt of the file and possibly give feedback.
In general, not all CBT groups that are members of KCBTA need volunteers. If members of the CBT group decide that, according to their work plan, they have a certain amount of work that can best be done by a foreign volunteer, a corresponding announcement is posted on the KCBTA website.
