President of the Kyrgyz Republic signed the Open Sky Policy Law

President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Amendments to the Air Code of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

“The goal of the adopted law is to develop civil aviation, increase air transport passenger and cargo traffic, as well as to increase the availability of international air routes and airline tickets for Kyrgyzstanis and foreign tourists through unilateral announcement and use in Kyrgyzstan of the Open Sky policy and the fifth level of air freedom,” – said in a statement.

The law was adopted by the Kyrgyz Parliament on December 6, 2018. It shall enter into force ten days after the date of official publication.
